Dear Family & Friends,
It's that time of year again when I am reaching out to each of you to ask for your support. As a Board member for Friends of the Elderly, I have the privilege of seeing first hand the positive change the organization brings to the lives of lonely & isolated elders in the Bay Area.
Loneliness & isolation lead to any number of health issues for elders, including poorer cognitive function & decline, increased visits to the emergency room, abuse & higher rates of mortality. Through our programs - matching elders with volunteer friends, celebrating holidays & birthdays, fun excursions - we aim to improve the well-being of elders in our community.
Just a small donation will go a long way in helping to ensure that our programs are continued.
