Loneliness Is a Public Health Crisis

Loneliness among older adults is more than an emotional challenge—it is one of today's most urgent public health issues. Research has shown that prolonged social isolation increases the risk of depression, heart disease, dementia, stroke, and premature death.

At LBFE, we believe no older adult should have to age alone.

Every day, our volunteers bring companionship, laughter, and hope through home visits, friendly phone calls, social gatherings, transportation assistance, holiday celebrations, and meaningful relationships that last.
