Johnell Davidson's Fundraiser
Help Bring Friendship & Support to Isolated Elders in the Bay Area
Another year around the sun! Each year I do a birthday fundraiser during the month of August to support the work of Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.
All proceeds are donated directly to LBFE to help fund their incredible mission to
alleviate isolation and loneliness amongst our older adults in San
Francisco. Rides to medical appointments, care kits with essentials during COVID, our tech allies program, where volunteers teach older adults the digital skills they need to use the internet independently, and so many more programs will be supported by these donations.
I have been a volunteer for almost six years and on the Board for almost two and hold this organization near and dear to my heart. The
impact we have on our older adults lives through companionship and our
extraordinary programs is truly life changing for them. I was matched with an older adult for almost 2 years and I know we made a huge impact on each other and on others watching our friendship grow. We thoroughly enjoyed going to the movies, finding new audio books at the library, eating hamburgers and milkshakes, going for walks and being an open ear without judgement for whatever we wanted to share.
With so much going on in this world and in our personal communities, I appreciate you taking the time to consider donating to LBFE. Every dollar helps and is so greatly appreciated.
