Bring Friendship to Isolated Elders in the Bay Area

Hi all,

I want to do something positive to make the world a better place. When I found out how many elders are living in San Francisco without the support of family and friends and that isolation such as this negatively impacts both physical and mental health, I decided to help.

I've created a fundraiser page to support LITTLE BROTHERS-FRIENDS OF THE ELDERLY (LBFE) in the Bay Area. LBFE's Mission to relieve isolation and loneliness really spoke to my heart and I hope it will speak to yours too! Their program to foster rewarding, reciprocal relationships between volunteers and isolated elders in our community helps create a continuum of care to benefit and empower elders and volunteers. But they need our help to continue this work.

$25 allows an elder to be accompanied by a volunteer friend to their doctor appointment

$50 allows two elders to be accompanied to a movie or an excursion in the city

$120 allows one elder to be connected to the internet so they can participate in LBFE's Tech Allies program - helping elders connect through technology

$200 supports a friendly visitor to an elder for one year

$500 provides a birthday present for 20 elders
